A little about me
HI, I'M Mariah
If you haven’t met me yet, I’m Mariah Millie, a Vancouver & Fraser Valley wedding and family photographer who lives for capturing those beautiful in-between moments. I'd love to preserve that time when you two are laughing but nobody else knows why; or when you whisper a secret to the other’s ear. If my photos can take you back in time and relive those intimate memories as the years pass by, I’ve done my job.
I’m here to make you feel comfortable and supported. I’ll lend my expertise, but also an ear and keep things light & fun when you need it. Let’s laugh, let’s enjoy, and then let’s preserve it—so you can enjoy it all over again.

I love exploring. They don’t have to be big adventures—small ones will do too.
Whether it’s going for walks with my little family & our pup in a different neighbourhood, trying out a new restaurant, taking on home renos, or running off to Thailand for a
month — it's these things that light up my life. But it's not always the big things, it's more about the small mundane things for me. Sitting at home watching tv with my boys (Yes, I've most likely seen that series), or trying out a new recipe and hoping it turns out (luckily my hubby isn't picky), or just soaking in all the snuggles and first moments with our baby boy Mazen. It's these moments that are my favourite & the ones I want to remember.
And that’s the kinda approach I take to my sessions. It doesn’t have to be grandeur to be special. It's actually best when it's just you being you, or you doing something you love to do together, that makes it.

MY FAVOURITE THINGS
I’m there for you. In the weeks leading up to your wedding, I’m there to consult with and answer all your questions. On your wedding day, I’m there to photograph your morning mimosas to evening dance parties. In the weeks following your wedding, I’m there to edit your photos and deliver a gallery you’re obsessed with. In other words, I’m there for you every step of the way.
This is a special moment for you. So I want you to focus on enjoying it. No stress, no fuss, no muss.

BEHIND THE LENS
Back in high school, photography class was the one class I really excelled at and enjoyed. I loved the challenge of documenting moments the way I wanted to remember them. I loved the feeling of anticipation as the photos developed in the dark room. And I loved the feeling of satisfaction when I saw the memories I captured. Today, I still love those feelings. This endless cycle of curiosity and determination to recreate beauty is what keeps me going.

My job as a photographer is to go unnoticed and document the unseen—so you can have your memories back in their raw, true form. Nothing forced, nothing fake. That’s my mission.

Mariah was the absolute best! I was one of those COVID brides whose plans got turned upside down but Mariah was so calm and comforting the whole way through. My husband and I decided to elope and Mariah was so accommodating with the date change, location change, etc and made us feel so taken care of the whole day. And of course, the photos themselves were absolutely stunning!! Mariah was able to capture mine and my husband's relationship so beautifully and authentically and we will treasure these photos for years to come!

Mariah has such a kind personality and works hard to bring your vision to life! Our day had a last minute snowy forecast but she didn't complain about the cold for a moment. Our photos are so unique and beautiful; always look forward to shooting with Mariah!

Mariah was a dream to work with! Mariah did both our engagement and wedding photos. She made every step of the process so easy, especially during a pandemic. Not only is she the sweetest person, she was also very easy to communicate with and always had fresh ideas for photo locations, poses, etc. She also always asked us for our input while taking photos, so I can easily say that there wasn’t a single photo that I was missing from my vision. She took the time to get to know us, which really shows in her work. The photos are incredible, and I couldn’t imagine having any other photographer for our big day. Mariah is incredible. Not only is her work absolutely beautiful and perfect but she is a true pleasure to work with. She did a shoot for myself and my partner a while back and she made us feel like we were the only ones in the room. We are so happy with the photos we got from our shoot that we are going to print two of them out to put up on our wall. Mariah is extremely talented and we both highly recommend her.
